Corporate responsibility

At a time when many companies and financial institutions are going downhill, AND showing their greediness by NOT taking the steps they were expected to to help the country ease out of these hard economic times, Goldman Sachs steps up to show corporate America how it’s done!

Chief Executive Lloyd Blankfein, followed by six of his top executives, have all agreed to not take cash or stock bonuses this year! Wow! Goldman is one of the many organizations who have received government checks, but where other top executives have conducted ‘business as usual’, where these funds are helping fund THEIR bonuses, here we have a company that is taking a pro-active stance to further help their company and their stockholders weather through the crisis.

It’s nice to see there are companies with a sense of responsibility. They will be one of the companies standing when the dust settles. They definitely would be a company I would consider in the future, if I were looking for someone to trust my investments with.
