Stepping out of your comfort zone

I have made the decision to sell our house and move to a different state. Initially, we thought we should wait until the economy is better. Reminds me of what I hear my clients say, though! “I need to wait until I get more experience”, “I need to wait until……….” On and on and on….

Then I listened to my own advice and realized that the last thing I want to do is look back at my life with regrets!

Certainly, in some ways, it would be much easier to stay put. But taking stock of exactly where our life is right now made me realize that we are in an EXCELLENT position to move! I work from my home, my husband is retired and just starting to figure out what he wants to do next in life; when better to move?

Yea, sometimes you really do need to JUST JUMP! It’s taking yourself out of your comfort zone, however.  It’s not that you jump without any plans or preparation, but you can plan your life away, too, and then… look back with regrets due to no action.

So, we will head out to our destination town in a few weeks to scope things out, and then the plan is to move in the spring!

Are you holding back from what you would like to do in your life? It might be start up your own business. It might be take on a new project. It might be a move! Take a big step back and consider what the real reasons are for not taking action. Anything IS possible, so often it’s just our own limiting conversations holding us back. Sure, it’s tough to move out of our comfort zone, but life is too short to always play it safe, at the risk of unrealized dreams.
